If a user simply closes that browser tab and navigates back to the login page a second time, they are not prompted and SSO works as intended.

Support have been unable to assist or even verify if this behavior is expected and I'm hoping someone here can help.

The articles point to this behavior:

If any of the following is true on a ShareFile account where SAML is enabled on the account AND properly configured, then ShareFile will auto-confirm the user upon user creation:

The user does not have permissions to change his/her ShareFile password AND does not have any admin permissions.

If Request SSO Login is set to ‘yes’ under Admin Settings – Security – Login & Security Policy – SAML Optional Settings AND the employee does not have any admin permissions.

The login page for your ShareFile account is set to auto- redirect to your SAML login page, then all employees will be auto confirmed.

So to tick each one off:
1. when our users are created they have no password permissions, nor do they have any administrative permissions.
2. SSO login is set to yes and again, our employees do not have admin permissions.
3. Our login page is redirected to our SAML login page.

So by all accounts, our employees should not be getting the verification prompts.

If anyone can assist it would be really appreciated. problem 6 2 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7856764 7856764 ShareFile for Desktop has stopped working again! 2019-02-22T18:09:39Z 2019-02-21T14:42:30Z Trisha Lee Thomas http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9916318 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11371095//platform/profilepic/_medium. trisha_lee_thomas When I click on my ShareFile Desktop App in the mornings I receive this message "ShareFile Desktop for Windows has stopped working." If I then click on it a second time, it opens fine without the message. I posted about this about 3 weeks ago and you gave me steps to fix it and it corrected mine and most all my colleagues, but it is happening again to a couple of my co-workers and it's only been a few weeks???? Would be nice to have a admin button that says, "Login as" so we can see the folder listing to ensure that the client has proper permissions without actually logging into the customers account; which requires a password reset when done.

Many other companies, such as SolarWinds, have admin portals that allow an admin to login as the user while at the admin portal. This allows the admin to see and verify what the end user is seeing and/or has access to; at the same time the admin does not need to know, enter, or change, the end users password. idea 0 2 1 create http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7857237 7857237 In the web version of Citrix Files (sharefile), is there a way to open documents outside the browser? I received 2 emails Citrix with the following:

"There has been a constant increase in internet-account credential (usernames and passwords) theft. Those same credentials are often used to access other accounts. In response to this, we are requiring a password reset and will be incorporating a regularly-scheduled, forced password reset into our normal operating procedures. Users will need to reset their passwords when logging into ShareFile. We believe this is an important step to continue to help our customers use our solutions securely."

The problem I have with this email is that it is an email with a link to reset a password. That typically is not expected from a company, unless it's something that I initiated. My first reaction was, someone stole my password and gained unauthorized access. My second reaction was, this is a phishing activity.

I really think that the whoever approved this email should re-think the way it was sent. A prompt asking them to log in, without a link, would be smarter, and confirming with them something to the effect of, "we will never send you an email with a link to access your account" would be smart.

I'm just a little surprised to see something so careless from an organization that should know better.

Just my thoughts, and perhaps my suggestion that this practice be changed.

problem 18 14 6 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7856747 7856747 Citrix files, change sync location 2019-02-21T19:02:02Z 2019-02-21T14:18:30Z Grahame Thomas http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9677244 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11280209/photo_medium.jpg grahame_thomas In citrix files, you have the option in the beta features to make folder available offline, can we set the local drive/folder where these files are stored. very often systems have a small SSD as a boot drive and a larger magnetic disk for data, it would be helpful if we can specify the location of the offline files like you can in sharefile sync. problem 6 3 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7856524 7856524 Is there a folder limit? 2019-02-21T16:53:46Z 2019-02-20T22:44:35Z Michael http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9954248 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/58e2555b2b04c92efefe9e2b95a53139?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG michael_wugdx3t7l4sx Hello everyone. This is my example. If I have a single user account and 1,000 clients, can I create 1,000 folders and each folder with each client? Each folder would be unique. I want to have a secured portal where clients can log into their own folder and download sensitive information for their eyes only. The versions of outlook vary from 2010, 2013 and 2016, all experiencing the same issue. We found that the only thing in common between the users who were experiencing the issue was that they were using the Sharefile Outlook addin. We requested to remove the addin and the problem went away with it, and, upon re-installing, the issue returned. We have installed the most current version as of Nov/3 4.2.88x and the problem continues. This issue is being reported again from different businesses, and different versions of outlook. And we have absolutely confirmed that the problem stems from the addin for each user who confirmed the issue is occurring. I have read that wiping out the Appdata for sharefile post re-install would cure this problem, but it has not. Any Ideas? problem 8 9 4 comment
