Currently, I have 100 volunteer chaplains I will have to give staff access in order for them to log their community and hospital visitation notes.

I know this point has been belabored. I also understand you are focusing on extending role-based permissions to accounting. However, I am sure there are others stuck between security and letting the Church be the Church through ministry. An improvement in role-based security on the people side of the software would go a long way to extending the hands of the Church. idea 2 3 6 comment 7916629 Permission based Notes 2019-08-22T20:56:23Z 2019-08-13T20:32:35Z Steven Parker steven_parker_c74ohxqofmgdk Having 'Private Notes' is good in that a person has to have the manage private notes permission set in one of their responsibilities. But basically there is only one privacy category. I think this could easily be expanded through the use of tags on notes. In the permissions for mange notes, a responsibility could all manage notes, then have a multi-select of available tags they are able to manage (add/view). Maybe by convention use a 'p-' prefix to indicate a privacy setting for example, p-Elder. if a tag did not require permission, then the tag would not have the p-.

This would allow various types of staff members to have visibility to private notes related only to their responsibility.

Alternatively, or additionally, it would be good to define a Notes type, that could be added on the Notes Page creating sub-tabs of note types that are only visible to individuals with permissions to that Notes type. Within the Notes type, each could have their own tags. Viewing the notes would have the same fields as an existing note, but the added 'Field Type'.

This may be similar or related to other suggestions, but I think the suggestion here would be a good approach. I apologize if already suggested, but searching 'Private Notes' resulted in about 137 threads and I didn't want to read through all those and subsequently other search criteria I might add to try to find a similar note already posted. idea pending 1 3 3 comment 7873837 Realm Q1 2019 Quarterly Review + look into Q2 2019 2019-07-31T19:38:02Z 2019-04-10T15:12:32Z Heather L heather_l_95j8r9mx41kim Our latest Realm Quarterly Review has been recorded and posted online. You either get to see and edit notes under Manage Notes but there is no way to set user responsibilities to just view the notes. Which is much needed with our church. For instance, let's say one of our pastors makes a hospital visit and she wants to update the rest of our clergy staff. She has several options: one is to group text our clergy with the update, but then of course the info hasn't gone into Realm. So option two is entering the info directly into the congregant's profile via Shepherd BUT then our pastor has to take the additional step of either texting the rest of the clergy staff or messaging from Shepherd, and as far as I can tell she would have to select the names one by one. In addition, even if she did message them through Realm, it wouldn't connect them to the congregant's profile. So, in a perfect world, after entering the notes via Shepherd, there would be a "Notify Shepherds" button that would also include a link to easily and seamlessly access the congregant's profile. idea pending 1 2 3 comment 7855048 Ability to mass delete notes 2019-07-16T20:20:04Z 2019-02-16T23:24:55Z Sandi Miller sandi_miller_7924996 I'd love to have the capability to mass delete notes. Perhaps on the screen where we can delete the tag, then we are offered the option to also delete all notes with that tag. That would be perfect. We have old notes that are meaningless and I'd love to delete them as their existence causes confusion. I'm dealing with hundreds of them, so not something I can just manually delete one-by-one easily. idea pending 2 3 5 comment 7891166 add note to profile from custom query 2019-06-11T19:50:45Z 2019-05-30T18:37:38Z Michelle Cooke michelle_cooke_bjx1f1gn4f1uv I would like to add a note to the profile of people listed in a custom query For example, I might generate mailing labels for every family with school-aged children and use the labels to mail out our registration packet. Currently there is no way to do this unless you send out an email to the group the whole purpose of realm is to create an environment where the congregation can go and see or communicate what is happening if I can currently use email for this purpose but then why would I need REALM? idea pending 1 2 1 comment
