This has been open for more than 2 years and it's not really that complex.

Input must recognize both the pause (comma) , and the hard wait (semi-colon) ; where it allows you to continue when ready. The hard wait is essential for me, as I join a lot of conference calls and I never know how long before it's ready for my pin (different systems have different length messages before the beep). The hard wait allows me to send the pin when the other end is actually ready. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374/replies/18842114 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374 18842114 Umberto Filesari responded to "Add Pauses and #s in Contact Numbers." 2017-07-31T14:48:12Z 2017-07-31T14:48:12Z Umberto Filesari http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9215347 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/47cf49ea969fc5b3d2ed5ca6afdd2b14?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG umberto_filesari This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Use ",,," (pause in iphone) to dial an extension after the main number.

I would like to be able to add ",,," (pause in iphone) after the phone number in order to dial an extension automaticaly, and not enter manually. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374/replies/18842920 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374 18842920 Legalett Incorporated responded to "Add Pauses and #s in Contact Numbers." 2017-07-31T18:31:13Z 2017-07-31T18:31:13Z Legalett Incorporated http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8139531 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/70c714c74c29af1b26ca06a36dffccea?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG legalett_incorporated This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add Pauses for Call Forwarding to be able to call forward to an external number w....

When setting up a new user's Call Handling & Forwarding, I would like to be able to add pauses to add extensions to the office number that the calls are being forwarded to in the ring sequence. For example, to reach a user at 613-555-1212 extension 123, the system would dial 613-555-1212,,,123 where each comma would be a 1-second pause to allow the extension to be sent at the correct time.

If I try and enter a comma or a p (for pause), I get the message Alert / Invalid phone number.

The current implementation means that calls can only be forwarded to direct lines like cell phones or basic land lines, while a large number of people don't have direct lines, but are instead reached by dialing an extension. This severely limits the usefulness of the call forwarding feature. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374/replies/18843002 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6187374 18843002 Legalett Incorporated responded to "Add Pauses and #s in Contact Numbers." 2017-07-31T19:02:58Z 2017-07-31T19:02:58Z Legalett Incorporated http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8139531 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/70c714c74c29af1b26ca06a36dffccea?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG legalett_incorporated I see that my post "Add Pauses for Call Forwarding to be able to call forward to an external number w..." was merged with this one. While the underlying coding required for the RC system to deal with pause codes for contacts and call forwarding may be similar, the function of adding pause codes to contacts is fundamentally different than setting up a new user's Call Handling & Forwarding. The former deals with a user's contacts to reach others, and the latter relates to how a user is reached. Thus I don't agree with the merge - I researched this topic as it was close, but it's not the same as what I'm requesting. 0
