I would have to purchase 2 new speakers at $60.00 a speaker. I purchased the pair of speakers over a year ago so the option to have them replaced under warranty does not apply.

I did everything I was supposed to do while storing them, but neither will hold a charge. I am able to open the bottom of the speaker and remove the old battery, but I am not able to order the replacement.

It is amazing that if I purchased any of the following:
BLOCK ROCKER BLUETOOTH iPA56B
BLOCK ROCKER BLUETOOTH iPA56C
BLOCK ROCKER IPA76C
EXPLORER IPA76S
BLOCK PARTY IPA22P
BLOCK PARTY LIVE IPA25P
ROAD WARRIOR IPA27
WORLD ROCKER IPA56W
BLOCK ROCKER AM/FM IPA16
BLOCK ROCKER BLUETOOTH iPA56
BLOCK ROCKER IPA56D
BLOCK ROCKER iPA76A
TAILGATER AM/FM IPA17
TAILGATER BLUETOOTH iPA57
TAILGATER IPA77
JOB ROCKER iPA30
TAILGATER ACTIVE iPA30A
EXPLORER BLUETOOTH iPA23
EXPLORER BLUETOOTH M2 iPA23B
ROAD RIDER IPA29

I would be able to order a replacement battery for $19.99 (Sealed Lead Acid Battery - 12V 5aH and 12V 7aH) from ION Audio's website http://www.ionaudio.com/products/deta..., but not the Sealed Lead Acid Battery - 12V 2.3AH for the Rock Speakers.

$40.00 versus $120.00 dollars, amazing. Both speakers work while plugged in. Let's throw away working speakers and purchase new just to replace the battery....priceless.

I will let anyone know to run, very quickly, away from any product from ION audio if this is how they think the best way to repair products that just need a replacement part.

0 frustrated and very very sad http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/18305112 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/16294826 18305112 Corey Baldwin responded to "Why won't my Rock Speaker Bluetooth keep a charge?" 2017-01-15T21:04:43Z 2017-01-15T21:04:43Z Corey Baldwin http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8894806 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10990595/photo_medium.jpg corey_baldwin_iibkniwrbbkfs I had the same problem. Since mine was just a couple of days out of warranty, I opened it up and found that the internal battery charger circuit will not charge the battery if the voltage of the battery drops too low. I could see this behavior when I hooked my multi-meter up to it and watched the voltage jump to 14 volts then immediately drop to the voltage of the battery which was 1 volt. The voltage should be 12 volts.
I put mine on a car battery charger for about 3 to 4 minutes at 10 amps. That's pretty high amps for this small battery, that's why I didn't leave it on very long. I then checked it with a multi-meter so see if it was holding the voltage. It did. I then put the battery back into the rock speaker and the internal charger started to charge it again as verified by my multi-meter. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/19543217 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/16285535 19543217 Gary Wilson responded to "Why won't my Rock Speaker Bluetooth keep a charge?" 2018-05-24T18:09:55Z 2018-05-24T18:09:55Z Gary Wilson http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9672910 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11278016/photo_medium.jpg gary_wilson_c2y7faao94xwk Same problem, mine were new, and wouldn’t charge right out of the box, but they work plugged in 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/19543231 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/16294826 19543231 Gary Wilson responded to "Why won't my Rock Speaker Bluetooth keep a charge?" 2018-05-24T18:15:21Z 2018-05-24T18:15:21Z Gary Wilson http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9672910 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11278016/photo_medium.jpg gary_wilson_c2y7faao94xwk My rock speakers are sealed, there is no access, to the battery 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/19543341 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/6825542/replies/16294826 19543341 Bill R. responded to "Why won't my Rock Speaker Bluetooth keep a charge?" 2018-05-24T18:48:29Z 2018-05-24T18:48:29Z Bill R. http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8209310 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10993990/download_medium.jpg bill_r_7894130 Please contact your nearest Support Office for assistance.
