The file might corrupted, truncated or in an unexpected format." If I click the OK button a few times a window of my file will open but it won't let me do anything. I don't have a data file called "data". Running OS10.13.6 on a MacBook Air with plenty of RAM & disk space. The blurb about the improvements for this version mentioned upgrading(?) the database. Is that what this is about? Any help out there? problem backup backup, errors_troubleshooting_non_olb, installing_and_updating active 2 4 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7762931/replies/19634742 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7762931 19634742 RickO responded to "Quicken 2015 2.9.7 froze up my data" 2018-07-12T11:16:34Z 2018-07-12T11:16:34Z RickO http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8400030 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10875315/original_medium.jpg ricko_i3b4avxnghg4a The file "data" is the actual database stored within the Quicken file structure. It sounds like file was corrupted during the update somehow. I would try to recover a backup of your Quicken file and open that with the new version. If that doesn't work, then probably something in your file is causing the corruption. In that case, you can find the pre-update copy of the Quicken app in the Trash Can and go back to that version and contact support here:

Quicken Support

However, the three year support period for QM2015 is expired, so I don't know if they'll be able to help you. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7762931/replies/19638468 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7762931 19638468 smayer97 (QM2007, CDN user since '92) responded to "Quicken 2015 2.9.7 froze up my data" 2018-07-14T07:32:18Z 2018-07-14T07:32:18Z smayer97 (QM2007, CDN user since '92) http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/533043 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10911408/imgres-2_medium.jpg smayer97 Curious, I believe the last version for QM2015 was 2.9.3. Not that it should matter to your situation but are you sure it is 2.9.7? 0
