It was fine when I got it, or I never noticed any speed issues at the time anyway, and it has got worse recently.

I have lifted the platter and reseated the belt, but the problem persists as before. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't see any evidence of other people having this same problem. problem complete 4 2 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151/replies/19635240 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151 19635240 Bill R. responded to "Wobbly Sound with Ion AirLP" 2018-07-12T16:23:28Z 2018-07-12T16:23:28Z Bill R. http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8209310 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10993990/download_medium.jpg bill_r_7894130 Hello,

Thanks for posting.

I understand you said that you've reseated the belt, but can you confirm that it's straight? If the belt is not completely straight, this will cause the sound to sound like it's warbly or not correct. Inside my turntable it's fairly clear to see where the belt should go (ie easy to see that it isn't too low or high), and there's nothing obstructing it.

After reinstalling the same belt, the problem persists, but not so badly. Do you think I will need a replacement belt already after only four months? 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151/replies/19635738 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151 19635738 Bill R. responded to "Wobbly Sound with Ion AirLP" 2018-07-12T20:21:31Z 2018-07-12T20:21:31Z Bill R. http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8209310 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10993990/download_medium.jpg bill_r_7894130 Yes, it sounds like this may be an issue with the belt. Part inquiries are not handled here on the forum. Forinformation on parts, simply contact our Parts Department. If you live inthe US, you can reach them at 401-658-3131 ext. 1403. If you wish toreach the Parts Department by email, contact them at parts@inmusicbrands.com. I hopethis helps! 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151/replies/19638593 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7763151 19638593 calumcarlyle responded to "Wobbly Sound with Ion AirLP" 2018-07-14T11:26:41Z 2018-07-14T11:26:41Z calumcarlyle http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/2112323 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/f51c483b54da7bc1db8101c610d9b93a?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG calumcarlyle Well, after reseting the same belt and playing a load of 45s, I have now put on a couple of LPs and can detect no wobbliness. Presumably the belt has now "clicked back in" or whatever. Thanks for your assistance.

Obviously I'll buy a spare belt now for when it's needed, but would you genuinely expect the belt to normally need replaced every four months? This does seem a lot. Back in the day I had a Garrard record player that was thirty years old and had needed its belt changed once in that time. I'd be surprised if that technology was somehow lost to us in the twenty first century. 0
