So far back that at that time not many banks were offering free bill paying.&nbsp; I am now 80 y.o. and I continued to use Bill Pay for only one reason. This is because it is convenient to pay bills and have them categorized at the same time.&nbsp; Previously these features allowed me to not have to think about paying my monthly bills and accounting.&nbsp; But all that is now changed with Quicken’s new mandatory membership.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />For reasons unknown to me Quicken decided to completely change the "Bill Pay" sign up format.&nbsp; So in a general sense I am starting my bill paying process all over.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />Now I must confirm each auto payment by signing into Quicken.com using their 2 step process.&nbsp; Then I must go into “Payee setup” where there is about a 10 to 30 percent chance that your former payee will be listed.&nbsp; &nbsp;If it is not listed&nbsp; you must start from scratch and list all of the pertinent information again.&nbsp; So if you joined as far back as I did, then this will be a painstaking job, gathering all the account numbers, addresses and amounts all over again.&nbsp; But the fun doesn’t stop there.&nbsp; Once you have set up all these new account do not forget to go back and change each of them from manual to auto payment.<br />If you cherish your FICO scores you can not afford to overlook, or mess up on any of these procedures, otherwise your payments will not be paid.&nbsp; So besides getting hit with a late penalty your credit score is going to be dunned.<br />I do not know why Bill Pay’s new owner’s decided to put all of these steps into their renewal process.&nbsp; Especially with all of the free bill paying services at most banks and/or new accounting programs but I think they have made a colossal mistake.&nbsp; I pray they will not introduce any more hoops and obstacles to overcome. problem paying_bills paying_bills active 5 4 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7767383/replies/19652683 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7767383/replies/19652639 19652683 Dan Glynhampton responded to "Update procedures for Bill pay in Q premier membership 18, from Q Premier 15, are as clear as MUD." 2018-07-22T06:06:53Z 2018-07-22T06:06:53Z Dan Glynhampton http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/5289904 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/a796bfe16f1360414b6793e3add70101?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG dan_glynhampton Do not, under any circumstances, call the number given above. No way am I going to pay intuit 9.95 for bill pay in addition to my bank's $3.95 I have the majority of my bills on auto-pay via my banks website or in some cases through their website. Remaining bills I will just pay using my banks free online bill pay or via credit card.
