I've tried to do this but ended up with the date of the test and the name if the test but nowhere to enter the result. Have the procedure set so you have to bill out 3 items so it is recorded. The custom field could then just be the item name. Requires you to know the result prior to billing out but could work for now. Also you have 20 messages waiting for you LOL
0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218/replies/19739163 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218 19739163 Declan Brincat responded to "Help with recording lab test results on patient custom fields" 2018-09-05T22:35:31Z 2018-09-05T22:35:31Z Declan Brincat http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/7618500 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/10993704/me2_medium.jpg declan_brincat I got word back from the Implementations team who co-manage the central database (containing the list of custom fields).

When a custom field is a blank field, it's used to write in, rather than link to an item. If the field is linked to an item it will only input item details such as the name of the item.
This means that you'd need to write in the custom field on the patient screen 'positive' or 'negative'. 1 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218/replies/19742639 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218/replies/19692802 19742639 Greg McIntyre responded to "Help with recording lab test results on patient custom fields" 2018-09-07T08:34:06Z 2018-09-07T08:34:06Z Greg McIntyre http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/1686792 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/6739719/100b0771_medium.jpg greg_mcintyre thanks for the messages reminder - not! That's where the custom fields can be attached.
When you charge the fee the fields on this page will add/update on the patient's page after finishing the visit. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218/replies/19751496 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7777218 19751496 Greg McIntyre responded to "Help with recording lab test results on patient custom fields" 2018-09-11T23:23:11Z 2018-09-11T23:23:11Z Greg McIntyre http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/1686792 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/6739719/100b0771_medium.jpg greg_mcintyre
Can I make a custom field like I have for microchip read numbers that lets me enter the result for a test manually?
0
