However the RC Phone (softphone) can. Our Product Team is actually discussing adding the RC app as an endpoint for RingGroups as this is a pretty common set up for many accounts. There's no ETA but once I learn more, I'll post an update here! 1 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7803615/replies/19802877 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7803615/replies/19801604 19802877 Kyle Gruber responded to "RingCentral App As Part Of Call Forwarding Process" 2018-10-14T01:41:46Z 2018-10-14T01:41:46Z Kyle Gruber http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/9412870 https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/a7ac8c86c9313a18cc92db57db3caab8?d=identicon&s=55&r=PG kyle_gruber Saadet,

It seemed even when I set my softphone up in the RingGroup, it did not function as expected. The confusing part of this is when you dial the extension's direct outside number, everything rings as expected (hardphone, RC app, RC Phone). Setting that number in a RingGroup (not the extension selecting from the users group) results in only the hardphone ringing. I'm sure there's some technical caveat behind the scenes that explains that, it's just bizarre that calling the number directly and forwarding to that number behave differently. 0 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7803615/replies/19808931 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7803615/replies/19801604 19808931 Saadet - Community Support responded to "RingCentral App As Part Of Call Forwarding Process" 2018-10-17T14:24:22Z 2018-10-17T14:24:22Z Saadet - Community Support http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8940459 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11077132/Picture_medium.png saadet_swift Hey Kyle, there is a technical caveat that's way over my head :P But the Product Team is aware and working towards fixing it!

It's odd that your softphone didn't ring. Did you add it as part of the RingGroup? You have to add both your hard phone and softphone to the ring group. 0
