Only solution is brushing the snow off and if it's ice getting it off with some hot water. Pretty simple, for us anyway. But those with dishes high up on your roof how do you deal with it? You can't simply get up there to brush it off. Snow can stay frozen on it for days, leaving you without internet for days.

That's why my thoughts on Cuomo when he said "Broadband for all in NY" is an idiot to have given hughesnet nearly 20 million for those not served and far out and calling satellite a solution for those not economically feasible to reach. Still abandoning the people who choose to live rural life. My thoughts - 1) - Hughesnet should never have saw a dime as they could already serve. 2) Satellite is not a perfect solution and never will be. That's my fair opinion.

Broadband, in my honest opinion, is getting as essential as electricity. Rather than entertainment and social media, broadband is being used for home security/surveillance, saving money, education, phone services, job hunt, work from home folks, health purposes.

I do believe they use to view power too expensive to bring out to rural people back in the day until government stepped in and forced to deliver.
question 15 11 1 comment http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7816173/replies/19851207 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7816173 19851207 Jim16 responded to "When dish freezes with snow & ice" 2018-11-10T14:53:31Z 2018-11-10T14:53:31Z Jim16 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/8000530 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11309608/exede_largex1xx_medium.jpg jim_16_7685645 So are you asking how to get snow off of a roof mounted dish or are you just bashing Cuomo, again?
2 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7816173/replies/19851323 http://m.getsatisfaction.com/topics/7816173 19851323 VeteranSatUser responded to "When dish freezes with snow & ice" 2018-11-10T17:16:38Z 2018-11-10T17:16:38Z VeteranSatUser http://m.getsatisfaction.com/people/6172379 https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/public/uploaded_images/11121538/images_medium.jpg james_mizer I have an extension pole for me brush.
